Wight Lifting

In this sport a person lifts barbells of specified weights in a prescribed manner.
Modern weightlifting with barbells become popular towards the end of the 19th century. The first Olympic Games in 1896 featured weightlifting. The Federation Halterophile Internationale (International Weightlifting Federation) was formed in 1920 in Paris by Jule Russet of France.
